Oh wow, when I saw this I had to answer. I was actually thinking about something similar the other day, except more so "If you where stuck on an island and had to only listen to one artist blah blah blah".
The CD I would choose... well it would be a debate between two, but there both by the same artist. And if you can't tell from the Icon I'm using right now, that artist is... MIKA. His music is absolutly brilliant and I just love the music. I'd probably choose his 1st CD, "Life in Cartoon Motion" because it has all the songs by him that I love the most, "Love Today", "Relax (Take it Easy)", and "Grace Kelly" (Plus many more). It's evident in my iTunes that I love those songs, I've listend to them more than 140 times since I got that CD, which was last March. And that dosn't count the times I listend to it before I was able to buy the CD. His new album (Came out Sept. 21st) , "The Boy that Knew to Much" is a very close 2nd. I have a lot of new favorites on here, "We are Golden" (My favorite line: "Looking for treasure in the things that you threw, like a magpie I live for gliter not you!"), "Rain", "Blame it on the Girls", "By the Time" and more. I've acually been wanting to write about MIKA in my journal for ages, even though no one reads it (And why would they? I hardly post! How can you read about someone who hardly posts?) because I love his music so. Sure, he has a couple of songs I can't even listen too because I don't like them, but the reason I love his music so much is because, unlike so many artists out there, I've never heard this sound before. It's hard to explain, but a lot of new songs I've heard, even though it's the 1st time I've heard it, I swear there's ten other songs with the same sound. Not with MIKA (Well, there is one or two songs of his that are like that, but that's two out of 23). Anyway, that would be the CD I would choose to listen to the rest of my life if I had to.
- Music:"Any Other World" (MIKA), "Let it Be" (Beatles), "Mad World"(Gary Jules version)
I finally finished my scarf (Knitting part) on October 22, exactly ten months from when I started knitting it. I did the tassels and stuff, made the key, and I was set for my Halloween costume! (FYI, I made the scarf to use normally, not for Halloween. People keep thinking I did it for Halloween.)
Except for some teachers, friends, and family, no one knew who I was (or even asked) during Halloween, when I wore it to school, and when I went to see "Paranormal Activity" yesterday (Let me tell you, having a super long scarf when watching a creepy movie like that helps!)
Anyway, I was disappointed, but I found out when I wore my scarf to school that my creative writing teacher was a fan (Which is why when I brought it to school (Not wearing it, just in a bag to show off) he recommended I wear it with my shirt on Thurs (Last school day before Halloween) and that one of my schools library workers son goes to an engineering school where they are trying to knit the longest Doctor Who scarf ever! That is so cool. Anyway enough of my stupid babble no one probably cares about, here are the photos!
( All of which is under this handy cut... )
